The Boscolo Lyon hotel: Italian luxury in the heart of the Presqu’île district
In a magnificent setting between the Rhône and Saône rivers, in the heart of Lyon’s Presqu’île district, Boscolo Lyon opened its 133 rooms in a beautifully renovated nineteenth-century building.
This late nineteenth-century building, with an architectural style typical of the Presqu’île district, was one of Lyon’s first hotels. Earning four stars in 1964, over the years it has welcomed celebrities such as Martin Luther King, Valery Giscard d’Estaing, the Duchess of Kent, Jean Marais, Jean Gabin and Edith Piaf.
Already present in Nice, the Italian group Boscolo has returned the building to its former splendour, bringing together Italian refinement and French classicism. The contemporary, refined and elegant interior design features marble, mirrors, fine fabrics and glass in this new 5-stars hotel.
The hotel has 133 rooms (including 17 suites) divided into five categories and on six floors.
The rooms measure from 30 to 40m², and the suites 45 to 55m².
From the comfort of the Italian bedding to the hand-made furniture, attention is paid to every detail to make stays here a memorable experience.
Beneath the glass roof covering the inner courtyard, the bar and breakfast area is well-lit and warm. It is also used to host corporate events and private functions, ranging from conferences to exhibitions, meetings and gala evenings.
The gastronomic restaurant Angelo, dedicated to Mediterranean flavours, offers guests a journey through Italian culinary traditions.
Beneath the ground floor, the 350 m² DeepNature Spa is an invitation to relax, with treatment booths, a sauna, hammam and a 10 by 5-metre indoor pool. In an interior featuring classical arches and the art of Roman baths, this haven of tranquillity is dedicated to well-being.
