Sophie Guyot builds her approach to textile by querying the relation between material, color and function. Silk is her favorite material. She studied in Lyon, England where she obtained a degree in Master of Arts and in Mauritania as an autodidact. That allowed her to acquire knowledge in textile design : screen printing, natural and conventional dyeing, and shibori technique. The work of transformation is entirely done in the workshop, starting from white or raw silk.
