4 guided tours not to be missed

The historical site of Lyon was selected by UNESCO as World Heritage. The circuit is an invitation to explore 2,000 years of the city’s history.

From the hill of Fourvière, down to Old Lyon, across to the Presqu’île and up to the Croix-Rousse hill – an ideal solution for seeing Lyon’s emblematic buildings and discovering its history from Roman times through to the present day.

The coach-trip includes several stops for walks, especially in Old Lyon for visiting the "traboules" and its narrow pedestrian streets.

Tour by bus | 2 hours ou 3 hours | 9 languages. The Croix-Rousse district is not included in the 2h visit

The Croix-Rousse is the district where the "canuts", the silk-workers of Lyon, lived in the 19th century. The famous Traboules passageways were very important for them as well as their livelihood.

Down the slopes of the Croix-Rousse hill, cross the Place des Terreaux where you can admire the City Hall, the Fine Arts Museum and Bartholdi’s fountain to get to the "Famous people of Lyon mural", that depicts the illustrious citizens of Lyon.

You will see portraits of the great men who have lived in Lyon from Roman times to the present day.

Tour on foot | 2 hours | 9 languages

For a long time isolated, the tip of the Peninsula district has been magnificently redeveloped and integrated into the town. The main feature of the scheme is the Musée des Confluences. To discover the many facets of this complex and enigmatic architectural structure, cross the Rhône on the Raymond Barre bridge, and walk around the museum from its northern side. Once inside the museum, the exhibitions take visitors from east to west, from water to clouds, with some amazing views of Lyon.

A walk through the park and along the path by the Saône to the Docks Sud offers various views of this strange vessel in the metallic surroundings of the former port...

The museum’s original architectural design alone is enough to warrant a visit.

Tour on foot | 1 hour 30 | 8 languages. Don’t forget to bring a camera!

Julien Bouvier

From the silk workers’ mâchon to the contents of the cooking pots of the "mères lyonnaises", the town has earned itself the firm reputation of a town in which the art of cooking has become a veritable religion.

Inspired by this heritage, Paul Bocuse has added his own know-how, becoming the first Chef to exert his influence at an international level.

In the Presqu’île district and Old Lyon, this visit includes culinary anecdotes, food tasting and a historical presentation of the UNESCO site, and will enable you to discover Lyon’s heritage as well as its gastronomy.

Tour on foot | 2 hours | 3 languages. A tasting session can be organized, price on request
