The local folk here have a wise saying: ‘Tout le monde y peut pas être de Lyon’ (which roughly translates as ‘Not everyone can be from Lyon’).

 ‘Lyonnaiseries’ (typical local dishes), such as andouillettes, salade lyonnaise and tarte à la praline, are served on a chequered tablecloth… The promise of a generously-served meal washed down with a glass or two of Beaujolais or Côte du Rhône.
