Resistance and Deportation History Centre (CHRD)
14 avenue Berthelot - 69007 Lyon 7ème
Symbolically housed in the former headquarters of the Gestapo, where Klaus Barbie hit, the CHRD is a strong and symbolic place in the service of History and Memory. The museum invites to revisit one of the darkest period of our history.
Visitors, equipped with an audio-guide, are invited to enter into a universe of sound and vision and be guided through a dark period of history. They will rediscover the resistance, deportation, the genocide of Jewish people and the most important events under the Occupation. The many temporary exhibitions cover present-day issues such as the genocide in Cambodia, and give visitors the keys to a better understanding of the world in which they live.
