Topped by a majestic dome, the former Grand Theatre, redesigned by Jean Nouvel, is a masterpiece of architecture! This beautiful setting is home to a very rich program for this national scene which has an opera orchestra and ballet.

From 15 to 29 July, the Lyon Opera box office is exceptionally closed. Contact the team from Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 6pm at the Tourist Office box office (Place Bellecour, Lyon 2), or from 12pm to 7pm by telephone on 04 69 85 54 54. From 1 to 21 August, closed for the summer.

Modernity, emotion, pleasure, the Opera House offers an array of performances for all musical tastes and generations.
1200 places and a 200-seat amphitheatre. Jean Nouvel has tripled the building’s volume by digging five underground levels to accompany the six levels under the glass dome.
