From the Bellecour square, where a general presentation will be done, you will go through the "Presqu'île" quarter to end up to "les Terreaux" square not only to admire the city hall but also the beautiful Bartholdi's fountain...
Just before enjoying the beauty and the diversity of the painted walls along the Saône river (Mur des Lyonnais, Mur des écrivains) let's have a look to the quarter of la Croix-Rousse on top of its hill...
This place also called "the village" has a unique atmosphere thanks to its market, bars , and typical restaurants...
Before crossing the Saône river you will have the opportunity to see the "Mur des Canuts" relating the story of the silkmakers of Lyon.
A good walk in the old town will give you the chance to discover its intact architectural heritage (Cathédrale St Jean), its colorfoul buidings and hidden courtyards not forgetting its mysterious passageways.
To finish with, you will reach the hill of Fourvière not only to enjoy the nicest view of Lyon but also to admire the basilica and the roman amphitheatre.
