Dedicated to the Cinématographe and the history of the Lumière family, the Musée Lumière looks back at the various technical creations of Louis and Auguste Lumière. Visitors can discover unique objects such as the very first Cinématographe!

On the site on which cinematography was born, the museum presents the story of the Lumière Brothers’ inventions thanks to projections and interactive features on four floors of the Château Lumière, the home of Antoine, father of the two famous inventors.

In the very birthplace of cinematography : projections of Lumière films with commentary, the first cameras, colour and 3D photographs, etc.
